Developed through the fashion.stl project organised by the Czech Fashion Council, Body Construction explored the body as a system of structures, pathways and relationships made visible through clothing and wearable objects.

The project was first presented at Kafka’s House in Prague’s Old Town Square as part of Designblok Prague, the largest showcase of design and fashion in Central and Eastern Europe.

Working with emerging 3D technologies, the project investigated body construction through modular forms, anatomical structures and wearable components. These early experiments marked the beginning of what would later evolve into the 3D/OVA modular jewellery system.

During the project, an early 3D/OVA neckpiece featured in the promotional campaign for Interbeauty Prague 2016, worn by Renata Langmannová, winner of Česká Miss and Czech representative at Miss Universe. The campaign was widely promoted across Prague, including on the city’s tram network.

The work subsequently showcased at La Fabrika Prague, a multidisciplinary cultural space dedicated to contemporary performance, visual arts and experimentation.

Here the relationship between body, object and transformation was further expanded through a growing vocabulary of 3D-printed forms.
